About High Arches
High arches, or cavus foot, occur when the arch is abnormally elevated, reducing the foot's natural shock absorption and distributing pressure unevenly across the heel and ball of the foot. This structural shape often leads to supination (outward rolling), lateral foot pain, and secondary issues like hammer toes and plantar fasciitis. Footwear for high arches requires extra cushioning, rigid arch support, and a stability post to counteract the inward torque of supination.
Our high-arch collection includes cushioned running shoes with medial posts, supportive everyday sneakers, and stability sandals from brands like New Balance, Brooks, ASICS, and Hoka. We carry styles for both men and women, ranging from athletic trainers to casual slip-ons designed to reduce stress on the outer foot edge and provide the arch lift these feet need.
Our certified pedorthists fit every customer in-store at our Palm Beach Gardens location and can assess your arch height, gait, and foot shape to recommend the right model and custom orthotic if needed. You're welcome to try shoes in-store, order online with free returns, or bring your own orthotics for a fitting appointment.
